In Anglia we think it’s very important to have an annual event at a catering college. For this event we are planning to go to Hitchin College. The premises are brand new so exciting times ahead. More details to follow.

This year it will be at Jesus College, Cambridge on Sunday 25th November

Dinner Amical at Galton Blackiston’s country house restaurant Morston Hall, on the North Norfolk coast

Dinner at Le Talbooth hosted by Maitre Restaurateur Ian Rhodes will showcase the best in local food. It is perfectly situated on the banks of the River Stour in the heart of Dedham Vale – Constable Country. This family run luxury country house hotel has strong local following in it’s award winning restaurant.

The famous Anglia Bailliage Gastronomic weekend, at our favourite venue, the Imperial Hotel. Details to be confirmed in due course

The Anglia Bailliage will be making an informal visit to Pisa from 27th to 29th March. We will have two informal dinners in Pisa, and an optional day trip by train to Lucca, where we will lunch in a Chaine restaurant. Some of us will be extending the visit to include the previous weekend, since the Pisans celebrate their New Year on 25th March, a tradition dating back to the times when the Pisan republic was a great naval power.

For our AGM and last event of the calendar year, we are planning on visiting Jesus College in Cambridge.

We have a change of venue for this event, and are delighted to be dining in the fabulous Old Hall of Queens’ College in Cambridge. It’s a really special event for us and we look forward to welcoming visitors from other Bailliages.

We are planning on visiting Tuddenham Mill, near Newmarket, at the end of July.

We will make our biennial visit on the 1st & 2nd April to The Imperial Hotel, where we are always very warmly welcomed by the Mobbs family. Friday evening we hope to join other guests at Nick Mobbs’ Tutored Wine Tasting, followed by a diner amical. On Saturday we will enjoy a more formal dinner just for us.

We are looking forward to our return visit to the West Suffolk College.

Queens’ College is situated on both sides of the River Cam which also divides the new and the old buildings in the College. The above function will be in two of the old rooms.
