Welcome to the Mercia Bailliage

Welcome to the Mercia Bailliage, the latest addition to the existing group of UK Bailliages. It was founded in 2023 and is based in the Midlands (formerly the Mercia region) of England.

In keeping with the ancient tradition of the Mercia region, the Bailliage is centred around Tamworth (which was the original capital of the Anglic Kingdom of Mercia and hosted the royal court), however, our current amateur and professional membership extends across many counties, including Shropshire, Staffordshire, West Midlands, Derbyshire, Leicestershire, and Northamptonshire.

We aim to create an interesting and diverse programme of around six to eight events per year, which are not only cost-effective but of exceptional quality. We also attend the Grand Chapitre which is held at different UK locations each year.

We look forward to welcoming new members as well as visiting members from home and abroad. Should you require any further information please feel free to contact us directly: mercia@chaine.co.uk

Alternatively, follow us on Instagram for the latest information about forthcoming events.
