The Chaîne

The Chaîne des Rôtisseurs is an international gastronomic society dedicated to bringing together professional and non-professional members from around the world who appreciate wine, cuisine and fine dining. Members of a local Bailliage are part of a worldwide organisation with more than 25,000 members in over 80 countries.

The Chaîne is a not-for-profit association where all funds are used entirely for the benefits of the members.

Membership in the Chaîne has many benefits locally in the area in which members live. Additionally, it also allows you to be part of the Chaîne’s international network and participate in Chaîne events and activities in different countries across the globe. Many members plan holidays around access to Chaîne restaurants or Chaîne events where they know they will receive a warm welcome and the best of hospitality. Even if you move home, your membership is transferable.

With the increase in travel and of eating out of recent years the need for an organisation such as the Chaîne grows in importance to discerning people. In 2009, the Chaîne celebrated its 50th anniversary here in Britain with a series of special events.

The Chaîne also offers members the opportunity to join the Ordre Mondial, whose principal goal is to promote and enhance the enjoyment of fine wines and quality spirits. Our society supports and promotes the future of young sommeliers through our Young Sommeliers Competition.

As cuisine and fine dining are a focal point within the Chaîne, our society supports and promotes the future of young cooks worldwide through our Young Commis Chefs Competition. It provides them with the opportunity to develop and demonstrate their culinary skills. Competitions are held annually at regional, national and international levels.
