I hope that you will join me at this elegant hotel, which still shows its coaching inn origins but has been extended in a sympathetic modern style and now includes the sumptuous Verbena Spa. If you enjoyed our meal here in October 2009, rest assured that the same chef, Simon Kelly, will be cooking for us. He uses local ingredients extensively, but introduces a surprise or two as well. The menu is:
Crab with avocado and ginger in a yuzu dressing Sea bream with a calamari, tomato and mussel salsa Venison with morels and foie gras ravioli Pear with lime and macadamia parfait Coffee
As always, appropriate wines will accompany the meal. We shall meet at 7.30pm for a reception drink and aim to eat at 8.00pm. Please complete the attached reservation form and return it to Ted Kendall as soon as convenient.
The room for this event holds only 32 diners and we may well be over-subscribed. Bookings will be accepted on a first received basis; as always, we will try to accommodate all who wish to participate but late applicants may be disappointed.
