Danebury Vineyards is a privately owned estate located near Stockbridge, on the edge of the Hampshire downs, on the site of what was once a renowned 19th-century racehorse training yard. The vineyard spans seven acres (2.8 hectares) of sheltered, south-facing fields, rooted in chalk and flint-stone soils — a terroir well-suited to producing fine English wines.

Established with the first vine plantings in 1988, Danebury has since developed a reputation for crafting elegant, characterful wines. Our portfolio includes Cossack, our flagship Brut vintage sparkling wine, alongside two expressive still white varietal wines: Madeleine Angevine and Schönburger. We also produce Danebury Reserve, a harmonious blend of all our estate-grown grape varieties.

With a focus on limited production, we are committed to crafting wines that express the unique characteristics of our vineyard. This scale allows for meticulous attention to detail throughout the growing season and winemaking process, resulting in wines of distinctive style and consistently high standard.

Although situated on the fringes of the traditional wine-producing latitudes, England benefits from long autumn days that promote full ripening and vibrant fruit character. Our chalk and flint soils, typical of the region, contribute a refined minerality that is a signature of Danebury wines.

All our wines are made exclusively from grapes harvested from our single-vineyard estate. We follow regenerative viticultural practices — protecting and enhancing soil health, sequestering carbon, and promoting biodiversity both in the vineyard and the surrounding landscape.

Our expertise in both viticulture and winemaking is reflected in the quality of our wines, which are regular medal winners at international wine competitions and are served in leading establishments and institutions across London and Hampshire.
