Members are invited to attend an OMGD Winemakers Dinner on Friday 19th June 2026, at the Churchill Hotel, London.
The speaker will be Matthew Day, winemaker at Klein Constantia in South Africa. Dating back to 1685 and described as one of the world’s most beautiful wine estates, Klein Constantia is set amidst ancient trees on the upper foothills of the Constantiaberg, with views across False Bay. The perfect location for cool climate wines, Klein Constantia produces some of South Africa’s top wines, including one of the world’s best natural sweet wines, Vin de Constance

Matthew Day
At the heart of it all is Matthew Day, only the third winemaker at Klein Constantia since the estate’s revival in the 1980s. A graduate of Stellenbosch University and a student of the world’s great wine regions, from Saint-Émilion to Barossa to Napa, Matthew brings global perspective to this singular Cape site.
Since taking the reins in 2012, his vision has been clear: to craft wines of restraint, elegance and longevity. Under his hand, Klein Constantia has earned a quiet reputation for excellence, not through noise, but through nuance.
