Ben Purton, Conseiller Culinaire, organiser of the GB Young Chef competition


The Chaîne des Rôtisseurs, Great Britain is privileged to have the highly regarded Chef Ben Purton as our Conseiller Culinaire.

Ben has enjoyed an extensive career, with over 30 years of experience in the culinary & hospitality industry, highlighting his passion for food, talent development, and commitment to quality service.

He progressed from commis to executive chef, working in reputable establishments including Hyatt, Selfridges, The Royal Lancaster London and Goldman Sachs, and has held various leadership roles in renowned hotels, restaurants and retail operations.

Ben has taken on various significant roles, including becoming Exec Chef as well as Director of F&B at Hyatt Regency London – The Churchill, managing restaurant operations at Harrods and cooking within the prestigious H Club at his beloved leading Tottenham Hotspur in their new stadium, while also opening a catering business during the pandemic and most recently taking the reigns at Harvey Nichols overseeing all things Hospitality, z restaurants and Kitchens for the group.

He emphasises the importance of working with local suppliers to showcase food at its best, respecting its quality and origins

Ben has been actively involved in nurturing new talent; contributing to the industry with his role as ConseillerCulinaire for Chaîne des Rôtisseurs where he arranges the Jeunes Chefs Rôtisseurs Competition for Great Britain and also acts as Jury Director for the International Young Chefs Competition.
