64th Grand Chapitre, Glasgow 10-14 July 2024
Chaîne GB’s 64th Grand Chapitre will take place in Glasgow where our trips will include the hills and coastlines of the West Highlands.
The programme starts on Wednesday with an informal dinner in the Dakota Hotel, followed on Thursday by a fantastic visit to Dumfries House in Galloway. That evening, our Diner Amical is in the superb setting of the Glasgow Golf Club. The next day members have the option of a full day paddle steamer trip down the Firth of Clyde or a walking tour of the city centre/highlights and history of the city centre. That evening, the Welcome Dinner will be held in the stunning Grand Hall of the Trades Hall, appropriately home to Glasgow’s guilds.
On Saturday, members again have the possibility of a walking tour of the art and architecture of Charles Rennie Mackintosh in the morning and a tour of the Clydeside distillery after lunch. Our Gala Dinner that evening will be hosted by the Hilton Hotel. On Sunday we have a rail spectacular for you in the form of a full day outing up the West Highland line in the sumptuous Northern Belle Pullman*.
