It will include multiple visits to vineyards, wineries, as well as tastings of wines, liquors and other crafted beverages. Our program will also consist of a couple of wine masterclasses, featuring the heritage and production of wine from this internationally well-known region.
Everything will be coupled with famous South African dining experiences at renowned restaurants. The fully detailed Grand Chapitre program and registration thereof, are expected to be sent out to all members sometime in the beginning of 2026.
Since the four-day program will be focusing on OMGD related events, our South African colleagues are kindly preparing a list of extracurricular activity and excursion ideas. That way if you want to arrive earlier or stay longer, you will have some authentic suggestions to allow you to explore further. South Africa is a rare and beautiful country with so much to offer. Think safari, penguins at Boulder’s Beach, breathtaking views from Table Mountain, a visit to the emotional Robben Island where Nelson Mandela was held, Cape of Good Hope or road tripping along the scenic Garden Route. The options are endless!
For the sake of early planning, I kindly ask those who are interested in participating in this unforgettable journey through true wine cornucopia, to save the date in their calendars. Members wishing to book flights well in advance, please note that travel to and from South Africa should be through Cape Town International Airport (CPT).
Looking forward to seeing you in South Africa, the Rainbow Nation!
