Sailaway Dinner

We were delighted to host a visit by the Floating Assemblage from Chaine USA. Michael Martello, Bailli Provincial, Pacific Northwest, brought 25 Chaine members on a cruise of Great Britain and we hosted the for a day before they boarded their ship in Southanpton.

They arrived at lunchtime at the Montagu Arms, Beaulieu, where they were met by Bailli, Janet Evins, Bailli Delegue, Philip Evins and Director and Maitre Hotelier, James Hiley-Jones on behalf of the Montagu Arms. After a delicious lunch prepared by Maitre Rotisseur, Matt Tomkinson, the group set off to visit Beaulieu Abbey and the National Motor Car Museum.

Our evening entertainment was a sumptuous black-tie dinner held in the Garden Room at the Chewton Glen Hotel where 75 members and guests sat down to dine. We were delighted that Managing Director and Maitre Hotelier, Andrew Stembridge, could join us for the evening. Executive Chef, Luke Matthew, produced an outstanding six course dinner for our delectation and delight.

This was a very special occasion and one which will be remembered for a long time to come.
