New Partners for Chaîne in the UK

For some years Commandeur Bill Brake, Pair de la Chaîne, provided support to our Young Commis Chefs Competition. Now we have two competitions and very happily have two outstanding partners to help and work with us in these activities.

Gaggenau is Europe’s foremost manufacturer of luxury kitchen appliances and is closely associated with fine wines and dining, as well as supporting and nurturing the development of some of our finest chefs. As a company with ‘super brand’ status worldwide, they are, to many people, the Rolls-Royce of this market and thus a partner of the highest level to be associated with the Chaîne. Gaggenau’s Marketing Manager Helen Shaw, says: ‘I recognised immediately a real opportunity for Gaggenau’s appliances by being associated with the Chaîne. I really look forward to a long and productive relationship.’

Riedel is the creator of the world’s finest wines and spirits specific glassware. With an unquestioned pre-eminence in the world of wine and a growing international reputation as makers of outstanding glasses from which to enjoy spirits, they are a truly great brand. Claus Riedel was the first person in the long history of the glass to design its shape according to the character of the wine. He is recognised as the inventor of the functional wine glass. Matt Knight, Business Development Manager, said how positive he feels about the opportunity to partner with the Chaîne.

Both brands are partners for the Young Sommeliers Competition and Gaggenau alone for the Young Commis Chefs Competition. In addition to a lot of involvement with these competitions, our partnerships will include joint events throughout the year covering topics such as steam cooking, coffee making, wine tasting and storage.
