The Malt Shovel is a delightful 16th century Inn and Restaurant in the small village of Brearton, between Ripon and Harrogate. A speciality of the house is an extensive range of smoked delicacies prepared in a kiln located on the site. The establishment is family-owned and operated and takes great pride in serving locally-reared beef. Swiss chef Jurg Bleiker has earned an excellent reputation among Chaine members in North Yorkshire over many years.
