Thames Valley – Events

Weekend at Hôtel Cléry, Hesdin l’Abbé nr Boulogne: 7-9 March

March 7, 2008

THAMES VALLEY BAILLAGE RETURN to Hôtel Cléry, Hesdin l’Abbé.

Following a most successful visit in 2006, Thames Valley paid another weekend visit to this hotel. The House was previously the Chateau d’Hesdin l’Abbé, where Napoleon took the decision to call off the invasion of England, but Thames Valley members enjoyed the invasion that they mounted for the excellent cuisine and service.

The weekend consisted of a Dinner Amical on the Friday night with a Grand Diner on the Saturday and between which a visit was managed to visit the Chocolaterie de Beussent.

The dinner was cooked by Head Chef Emmanuel Dorius and his team and the front of House managed by Nicolas Dupont, the Restaurant Manager (pictured), with Andy Angel Vice Charge de Missions (far left) who organised the event and Baillie Vic Laws and VCC Danny Steck (far right).
