London – Events

Grand Diner

February 11, 2011

This event continues our round of the London Clubs and is in honoour of the great Victorian chef Alexis Soyer, who achieved, during the Crimean War, for the nutritional health of the British Army what Florence Nightingale did for its nursing care. A modified verssion of the oven he designed then was stil in active service in the Falklands.

We will have Lamb Cutlets Reform (one of Soyer’s creations) on our menu; and the Club will put on a small exhibition about him, for us.
